In her workshop, Elide Gramegna will take up the artistic techniques used in the production and create window pictures and / or mobiles made of recycled materials with the children. If you want, you can also try out what it looks like on screen and how a story comes to life as a shadow and puppet theater. Attention – everything is reverse on the overhead projector! Why is that like that? Through a mirror, the world is suddenly upside down, but that makes our story all the more exciting!

With the blue whale, protagonist of our aquatic spectacle, we dive deep into the ocean. We meet the marine inhabitants: fishes, medusae, seaweed and other strange sea creatures. Curious, the whale dives deeper and deeper, until it touches the ocean ground, full of trash – too toxic for the marine animals! The mermaid gets tangled in a lost fishing net and expresses her anger with a furious dance. In search of clean water, the whale appears again on the surface when a big storm is coming up …
With three musicians and beautiful visual arts on the overhead projector, we tell this little story about the adventures of a whale. We listen to the wind and the waves and watch the dancing mermaids and singing jellyfish. The water becomes the central artistic material on the overhead projector and the musicians transform into strange shadow beings in the ocean depths. In interactive moments with the young audience we make a “garbage batucada” and experience the sensation of storm. On the musical principle of “Call & Response” we provide song texts and rhythms so that our audience can actively participate in the show.

Based on the theme of our productions, Elena La Conte and Kristina van de Sand offer workshops for children (age 2+) and accompanying adults. The aim of this workshop is to pick up on musical material from the productions and to convey it in more detail. Through improvisational and compositional games, both children and adults are playfully introduced to the music. We will work on rhythms through body percussion and the call & response principle an explore songs, sounds and instruments.
We can also offer a unit “Recycling Instrument Making”.

This concert format is conceptualised for children from 1 year and accompanying adults. We make ourselves comfortable on the pillows, listen to the songs and rhythms and dive together into a wonderful world of sounds.
With an eclectic repertoire, combining European Folklore, Brazilian Rhythms, Baroque Virtuosity and refined improvisational moments, the two musicians weave an immersive artistic thread through their musical adventures. In interactive moments, we provide lyrics and rhythms to the accompanying adults and let the young audience to be part of the concert, exploring sounds and movements.
